We added this 24' dia solar cover to our above ground pool to minimize evaporation which it certainly does. We are in a drought thus can't afford to add ~ 4" of water per week due to evaporation. What we also attained is a dramatic rise in pool water temp that isn't needed in Cen TX in the summer. To solve this over temp issue we pull the cover off ~ half of the pool in the evening & do not fully cover again until mid morning when the temps rise & the humidity falls. This action has reduce the water temp to near normal. And added plus is I suspect this cover will allow us to swim into the fall when normally the water temps fall with the cooler nights.3/23/22 update. Its held up extremely well, giving that I live in FL. I dont use it as much because it's a pain to roll up, but thats not the blankets fault. It's the reel I purchased. I increased 2 stars because it has held up so well. No mold, no visual wear or tear.. still not 5 stars because it doesn't do much for temperature. I had such high hopes. The material is good. The measurements were right on spot, no assembly required. Came vacuum sealed. It only keeps the pool 2° warmer than when the pool is off. The liquid blanket does about 4°. The only reason why this is better is because you purchase once and you are set for a while. Idk how long its gonna last since 1 side is always touching the water and the other is exposed to FL weather. I'm on the fence on if I would buy it again or not.Installed and in 1 week my temp went from 64° to 80° Very happy will need to see how long it lastsIt works great so far. It has raised my temperature 10 degrees over 2 warm sunny days.Easy way to keep the heat in over night!!!Pool cover does not fit properlyUsed for outside pool.We have had it on for over a week, there might be 1 degree difference, but water is still cold. Not worth it, save your money.
