This will be on my bed for winter for sure. Was going to buy a Hudson Bay Point Blanket, but just can't swallow the ultra high price. Pendleton blanket is not cheap either, but much less than HB and just as good for my money. I rated it '1' for lightness of weight as this is a heavy wool blanket, but it is supposed to be. It is super comfortable, will hopefully last a lifetime and very, very warm. Looks great too. If this is the top blanket on a bed, it's actually a shame to cover it with a bedspread.Love it...I love these Pendleton blankets. I have two that I use for camping in my RTT. Great for summer camping when any bag can be too hot. In cooler weather, add another blanket and a liner sheet and you have a system that is warm and yet breathes. “No sweat, man!”For the cost, I was concerned that it would not be all that it was advertised too be. Well this National park model is awesome. I am getting ready for a 3 month over landing trip in my Jeep. I was going to buy a down bag with a rating to -10 with a cost of around $750. Well I have a older Coleman sleeping bag with a 20 degree rating and I believe I can achieve the thermal rating I need with the combo and saved myself $400. This blanket is truly one that you can pass down to your kids and they can do the same if taken care of.This blanket is, like, totally righteous. I bought it as a Christmas gift for my brother-in-law who lives in a very small village called Le Treux in the Allier Department in central France. His name is Jean-Jacques. He remodels homes for a living. He is a hard working man. So, he knows about being cold in the winter. Immediately after sitting down on his living room couch and covering himself with this queen size 100% wool blanket, he announced his intentions to remain in this state until late spring. It was the best Christmas gift that I took with me to France this year. Actually, I bought two of these Pendleton Glacier National Park Blankets (both queen size), and I bought two other 100% wool ECO blankets too. These other three blankets went to: Jean-Marie, Cecile, and Marie-Madeleine. They are my in-laws too. They all loved the blankets. All of these in-laws are from peasant farmer stock (i.e., they all grew up on a farmer) and they know a good wool product when they see it. I couldn't have bought them better Christmas gifts. They are 100% satisfied with the quality of this product and so am I. My only regret is that I didn't have enough money to buy one of these blankets for everyone in the family. This would have been totally out of control given that my wife has twelve sisters and four brothers. That's right, my father-in-law and mother-in-law had seventeen children. Buying that many Pendleton Glacier National Park Blankets would have put me in some serious debt. My only concern is that I might start a family feud between those who got blankets and those who were left in the cold. I know that the blankets were very much appreciated and I hope that they do not become a point of jealousy. Who knows, I might not be invited back next year. In spite of all this, I'd buy these blankets again. They are of superior quality. They will last for a very long time. If you are considering getting one of these blankets -- do not hesitate. They are worth every dollar.I have longed for a Pendleton Glacier Park blanket for 20 years and I finally bought one here. I love it and I feel like a dream has been attained. The weight is perfect. The wool flawless. And I get to warm up with my favorite Park theme. Thank you.Love my new Pendleton, Crater Lake National Park navy blue, full size blanket! Highly recommend!Best Blanket Ever, it ain't cheap but ohh boy was it ever worth the cost.Bought this blanket as a gift for my daughter. She had been to a number of the US national parks on a previous road trip. The blanket is really thick and warm, really well made. The wool is not scratchy. She absolutely loves it.It's perfect.Thinner then the old Hudsons Bay 8 point blankets but way softer and nicer looking and still very warm.Pendelton blankets are consistent. Not cheap in price but likewise not middling in quality.Beautiful as described on timenot a knock off
